I worked for a dealer when they were new tractors. A 1086 pto just slips right in, no big deal. A 1586 can be done but requires a special coupler inside. We used to order 1486's with no pto and order a 1086 pto separately. We did lots of those and never had a problem.
X2. Dual PTO's are available from salvage yards. There are valving and linkage differences between 86 series and earlier '06 thru 66 series. Not insurmountable, but it's best to keep vintages common. |
