Subject: RE: Dosatron/Dosmatic chemical injection accuracy and thoughts?

Accurate or unbiased information is hard to come by in regard to which brand has the most precise dosing mechanism. Mid range they are probably identical in accuracy. The degree of wear (through use) on the syringe mechanism will have an impact on accuracy. Dosmatic traditionally have a hard plastic dosage piston while Dosatron have a softer rubber material. However Dosmatic now offer a dosing gasket which is a softer material. The softer dosing materials are more forgiving with abrasive concentrates or concentrates with suspended powders. The hard plastic has a tendency to wear more rapidly with suspended powders but it can be argued the hard plastic dosage piston is more accurate with pure liquids. Hope this helps, Cheers.
