No, that is water that was going to be run off with chemical and fertilizer... now it is clean filtered water that is entering our watershed in a controlled manner. If I had that water tested it would be clean enough to bottle and sell. That water is entering a culvert at a road which turns into an open creek on the other side of the road.

We don't irrigate here... we have more water then we can handle 99% of the time. By taking away excess moisture with drainage tile, we create a buffer system in our soils that greatly reduces runoff, errosion, etc... A 7% slope is very common around here. I would much prefer my soils to be below saturation levels so they can hold, and filter that 2'' rain, not wash down the hills carrying my top soil, chemical and fertilizer!

Not to mention a 3 ac wet spot that yeilded around 100-120bpa less the the spot pattern tiled next to it two out of the last 4 years.
