Problem leveling a Kinze 2600 planter

to be level but if your going to get the use out of the down pressure spring they need to be level. We had this problem with our 2600 and as refered to by another poster, I agree that not all are built the same. We went and looked at a neighbors 2600 and his arms ran level and his transport wheels were in the second hole.

So we put ours in the top hole and then the main(center) part of the planter ran level to the ground and gave use good down pressure. But the wing wheels did not have another hole for adjustment so we welded an ear on to make the adjustment. Then we added about 400lbs to each wing and it made it a good notil planter after that.

If you weld on the ear, don't forget to loosen the little drive wheel springs.
