SW Sask | Awesome pics! My first "paying" job was 12 hr shifts on a smaller version. I started when the slipform started going up. Boss handed me a shovel; on-the-job-training was when he said "Instructions are on the handle. If you can't figure it out, you're gone."
I took a turn on the 2-wheel buggies. I can't remember what they weighed, but at 17 yrs old and 130 lbs soaking wet, it was an adventure - it was all I could do to get it rolling, and I had to run at the edge full-steam, then lift the handle (so it hit the skids and stopped rolling to dump) at just the right time!
Funny - I don't recall it being terribly tough work at the time, but I'll bet the 20+ years of university and desk jobs since then would make it a much bigger challenge!! ha ha
Thanks for the post - awesome photos.
