The salesman is right. I usually figure 75% of 75%. If you get better cup fill than that, great, but don't count on it. I have a leg with 8 inch cups on 8 inch spacing. They don't fill well. But I don't have enough amps to find out if they would do better.
The low profile cups do hold more. Do you have room to project farther out from the belt?
I worry more about completely dumping over the pulley. Finding the sweet spot of speed. Dump well and be at maximum capacity. Sometimes, it is 380 fpm, sometimes 470, never know til you build it.
