Subject: RE: MF 820 Disk - operating tips ~

north-central Indiana west of Fulton
Agree that MF 820 were made in 70 & 80's. In 77 we bought a new 21' because a neighber had one and thought it looked better than any other disk at that time. Had trouble breaking standards(on rocks) until MF came out with C (rock flex) standards and we replaced entire disk. Later bought a 25' at aucton with rock flex and use both to this day. No dealers around is biggest problem and spools are sky high to buy new. The shortest half spools are prone to crack but can be welded. We bought a 620 (parts are same) dirt cheap at sale some time back and parted it out . Mostly good designed disk. Have not needed a dealer in years but bet they could not get you a part if you needed it . Axles can be gotten from Shoupe.
