West Central IL | Back in 1981 dad and grandpa bought a new 12 row JD 7000 with the Monitrol system. It worked great for years until it started having monitor issues. It was a variable speed pulley driven off of a ground wheel that changed population on the go,for corn it gave you the population read out and in beans you went off the shaft speed using the old bean cups which weren't much more than a controlled spill.
I've never talked to anybody else that had one.
