pulling the injectors also eliminates the danger of bending a connecting rod if you get water in the cylinder. It can happen and takes your repair bill to another level! You keep on cranking this thing and you could do it!
If you can't find it pressurizing the cooling system, rig up an adapter to put shop air onto each cylinder through the injector hole. Then watch for bubbles in the radiator. Lots more pressure available to push through a tight leak that way. You have to have that piston at TDC on compression stroke or the valves will be open. Have someone hold it there or something, cause it can turn the engine suddenly (air start!) if you're not exactly on TDC. | |
