Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND
I experimented with a "dosatron" on a trailer type field sprayer with some good and bad results. I found some thick herbicides would not pump correctly through the unit unless I diluted them with 50% water.
Some of the thicker fluids would either not pump or be very inaccurate with the Dosatron. Setting the unit for twice the rate with the product diluted with 50% water helped reliability and accuracy. On very rare occasions, the unit would jam and deliver no product until the water flow was switched off then restarted.

When necessary to tank mix two products in full concentrate form, some did not react well, forming a sticky system clogging mess. Adding 50% water to the two product tank mix helped a lot.
It was quick and easy, putting only concentrated product in the small dosatron tank and pure water in the main sprayer tank, no foaming while filling / mixing.
