Southeast Nebraska | I have a 4850 that did this. There is power distribution under the dash, the two piece metal cover in front of the steering wheel. It is basically above the clutch pedal against the firewall. Take the two piece cover off that exposes the back of the dash. Above the clutch pedal you will see the power distribution box. There are breakers that mount in that box. Believe the lights may be a 30 amp breaker but not sure. In my case I checked all connections (since heat from a bad connection could warm the breaker and cause it to trip) and it still kept doing it. Purchased new breaker, installed it, and it quit doing it. I think they are less than $10, I would suggest you start there as they can get weak or develop problems with time. I took mine apart and it was damaged inside causing poor connection between contacts and heating due to that. | |
