North Central Illinois | I really don't think you can beat the Ranger for irrigation work like you ar doing. It sounds like the Ranger is even cheaper than the Gator. $14,000 for a Gator seems outrageous. I gotta hand it to you, 5800 miles in a year on a UTV is pretty impressive. When I bought my Kubota in 06 I never even considered a Gator because in comparison they were junk. I did look at a Ranger but at the time felt they weren't really comparable either. I don't believe they offered a diesel at the time and the payload wasn't anywhere near what the Kubota was. A lot has changed with the Ranger in five years. If I were to ever trade I would look hard at Ranger but would have to know a little bit more about their diesel engine. Probably never have to worry about it though because the Kubota is never gonna where out. I really like it but realize it wouldn't be any good for your application. | |
