Extreme SW Minnesota Iowa border | This may or may not apply to you, but, I have welded and reinforced a truck frame for a guy who had a hired man that would NOT let the rear tag down all the time. He kept lifting the box with the tag up and eventually there was a lot of cracking and twisting on the frame. If the wheels were in the rear, that wouldn't have happened. The other thing was the ride empty. We had a short wheel base truck like that with no tag on, and if you ever hauled empty pallets, They would bounce all the way to front of the truck. Same size box, longer wheel base, the pallets would stay put. And , if you ever put a hitch on it, wheels farther forward will result in the tall wagging the dog problem. Hope this helps. |
