Sounds like you have the same types of sellers at ag shows as we have. A Masonary drill dit can be used. You must keep it cool with lots of cutting fuid otherwise it melts the silver solder holding the carbide tip in place. Run the drill about half the speed you would for mild steel in that size. It is best if you can get a soft wheel and sharpen the cutting edge a little better than from the factory. There are ARTU branded drills available from engineering places in Australia, about 1/2 or 1/3 the cost of those at ag shows!!
