| Best way to keep it from ridging is leave it in the shed. Or better yet, park it in the fence row as keeping it in a shed is a waste of good space. We fought our 496 for years to keep it from ridging. Even had 2 different dealers work on it with no luck. Either wings would run too deep & ridge & the center section wouldn;t go in the ground or if you got the center section to go in the wings were too shallow. Had the best results running the tractor hyds in the "float" position.
IH / CIH offered an attachemnet to go in the center to take out the middle strip that the front blades left. Use to have a couple hanging around. Still may have them. They were basically a cultivator C shank with a mounting bracket. | |
