Strasburg North Dakota | We had on heck of a wildfire here today. Started with a no-till drill seeding wheat in a sunflower field, spark from a stone. Burned an abandoned farmstead and threatend several active farmyards. Ten fire departments responded including Strasburg,Hague,Linton in ND and Mobridge,Pollock, Herried, Eureka,Selby,Java from SD. 15 farmers with tractors and disks as well as at least ten farmer sprayer tender trucks providing water to the firemen. We had 35 mph winds to complicate the effort. Same forecast for tommorow, hope this doesen't happen again. Quite a scary experience.
