Subject: 1790 VRD problem

NW TN, Dyersburg
I started to plant corn today and my variable rate drive is very erratic, jerking so bad that it actually jumped one of the drive chains off. I get the message to check for sufficient hydraulic flow and to check for binding parts. I swapped the VRD hoses to SCV 2 and still had the problem, removed all the chains and turned all the shafts easily by hand... no binding. Removed the drive chains at each VRD motor and it's still erratic. The target RPM's will go all over the board, as high as 280-300 and as low as 0. My tech is stumped and so am I, it does seem to be a hydraulic issue. Could it be a stuck solenoid in the big "gold box"? Maybe something with the control module? I'm open to any and all opinions.... TIA.
