Alright, I switched the wire I had going to the distance wheel with the other "extra" wire and I got the acreage to count up and the alarm to come on when I spin the wheel. I still have an extra sensor wire, but it seems like I got it to work. I ordered a manual for the monitor on ebay, so I should know soon enough what the extra wire is for.
