Either single file (depends on the size of cattle you will be loading, but maybe 30") or wide enough to back the trailer into it a few feet.
With the big single door, you just have to have the trailer so close to the latch side that one can't squeeze in there. With the two doors, its easier to cover the cracks on each side.
