South Georgia | I have been told that the air induction tips do not do as good with contact herbicides, expecially with Ignite on pigweeds. We have always used just plain ole tips. I started using Low Drift tips when I started spraying, and have continued to use them. Usually a hypro or tee jet. Have also been told this year that the two hole tips would have a better kill then regular tips with contact herbicides because they spray both ways and cover better. Our main goal is to control pigweeds and to cover them with the chemicals as best we can.
On the tips size, I have run 110 degree 03s for the past several years and have found them to be the better size for me. Tried 04's doing burn down last year, and they worked good but I couldn't keep them popped open when going slow. I have a Vans 16 row sprayer with a JD rate controller on it, nothing fancy.
I am just looking for something that will work good, and do not want to waste money on something that someone else has tried and it did not help.
Thanks agian,
