Southern Lower Michigan | To level properly, the blades have to be installed in the proper order. The fron gangs do not use the same size blade all the way across.
The outside blade on the inner gang is one size smaller. and the first two on the inside, of the outside gange step up to the other blades.
Ditto what the previous person said about the shafts (1 1/8 vs 1 1/2) . I had a 271, and bearing, and shaft problems were common. With the 273 they were almost nonexistant.
