Bloomfield, KY. | Jim, technically you are right about no UK starters from KY. However, Darius Miller, the 6th man, was a starter the last 2 years. Cal decided he could really help more coming off the bench. He is a possible first round pick & was MVP of the 2011 SEC tournament, so it wasn't a lack of talent. He is also a senior and will graduate, on time, in May.
It is true that KY high schools no longer produce many top basketball recruits. These days we produce more top football recruits than basketball. That is a complete reversal from the past. Nobody knows why.
UK & UL used to get a lot of their top players right here at home, but not so much now.
In 1971 WKU went to the Final Four with 5 starters from KY. We've gone downhill since.
