I have heard from a couple different mechanics that once you do the hot-rod stuff to them they are very good. Bt first you have to redo the exhaust, some cooler and maybe head bolts...I am not sure what all is involved, but I would sure take a chance on a nice dually for $450!!

If all else failed, you could put a Cummins in it.
