Subject: RE: Leveling a Kinze 3600 12/23

I went through the same thing with a Kinze 2600 12/23 pulled by a JD 4760 two years ago. My brother and I came to the conclusion that it worked the best with the hitch slightly higher than level. The planter has four depth holes on the main frame, and ours is in the top (no till). The book says to run the hitch parallel and it gives a measurement from the drawbar to the ground, but it was too low for us.

Also, the bean units are slanted down like yours. I put in new plastic wear pads on the center post last year, but that didn't really help that problem. I don't like how low the bean units run in corn, and have tried building up the lockup deals, but that didn't help that much. There is no play in the wing hinge pins, either.
