Southcentral WI
Pete, on used equipment, if you don't buy local, no biggie! I always tell my customers, there's a few things you want to buy locally, to ensure best service on it....planters, combines, balers and self-propelled forage harvesters-high maintenance machines. Tractors, skid steers, tillage, no biggie if they buy used away from their local guy, there's not much service issues on them. The foreign buyers are 99% of the time buying used or lightly used equipment for the overseas market, and from my experience, equipment they've bought from me sold for more money than I could have gotten locally. They pay the asking price, no questions asked, PLUS freight to their container destination! I'll say this, the guys they're selling to have some amazing pocketbooks back home!!!!!!
