Heil Harvesting, Ulysses KS/Limon CO
Deere seems to be good at 'funneling' new equipment purchases to where they want them in combines for certain. In the 90's if you were a custom operator Deere put incentives in place with full intentions of pulling your custom machines to a certain area. Kiowa used to sell the bulk of the custom machines, then Bucklin, then Montezuma, then I don't know where, and now Ulysses/Western in OK and Texas seem to be the 'spot'. In the Maximizer days it was about 100 machines a year; Ulysses is now doing 60 +/- new custom machines a year, the used get spread through the American Implement system, I think there are 2 late model used machines in Ulysses.
