Does your ground for the brakes go to the trailer plug? Are all ground and power connections soldered? Most factory trailer wire connections are made with wing nuts or some sort of fastener. Soldered connections are the only ones that will hold up over time. Grounding to the frame never works over time. Make sure the magnet area of the drum has no rust on it.
