I always thought those were mostly for ridge till. Do you have the Deere gauge wheels also? My uncle no tills with a 16r30" Deere stacker, and he only runs 4 Deere gauge wheels - 2 in the middle and one on each wing. I can't remember for sure which row units he has them between, though.
Do I need Hiniker guage wheels on the front of my planter?
