Subject: OLD black plastic BALER TWINE SURE LASTS A LONG TIME.!

just a tish NE of central ND
I moved an old rock pile yesterday that hasn't been touched(moved over 40 years ago)We used to use black plastic twine about 40 years ago for straw. I dug out a clump of used baler twines from squares that has been buried there for most of 45 years. Man that stuff looked good yet and was still strong. Just how long does it really take for this stuff to deteriorate?
