What about doing a patent and sell it asap to a company for a certain amount? Better than nothing on smaller parts.


Good luck getting any of the major manufactures to talk with you. You can patent an idea without actually building it. You want to be as general as possible on the patent and only as specific as you need to be. Talk with a good patent lawyer if you are serious. It will cost you a minimum of $7500 to get the patent search done and get the patent written. As mentioned before, it may not do you any good if you can change one thing at get by it, even if they copy it exactly, you still need the $ to fight it.
