Dad had CIH on when I took over planter duties. We now are back to JD. What I found was when using a firmer the seed would get pushed into cracks in the sidewall. When you would row the corn, it would be staggered side to side 3-4 inches. Also notice it when digging up seed. I couldn't figure out where the seed was and finally figured out it was getting pushed to the side.

Put a 20/20 w/ air force on last year, so shouldn't have the sidewall compaction.
