Regina/ 14 miles South of Moose Jaw Saskatchewan | Haven't tried - I know on our MF 820 tandem we originally had a single shank intended to deal with the spacing between the center of the gangs... It was pulled off pretty early since it was a major source of plugging in the conditions we were running in at the time.
That would be my main concern: if you're turning black dirt you might be fine, but if you have trash/clods etc - I would think you'd be creating a situation where plugging would be a major problem....Your conditions may be different, but in our area we often have to wait a while after disking before hitting with a cultivator otherwise we run into plugging issues....
I believe others have had some success mounting tine harrows on the rear of disks - that might help level, with less of an issue of plugging....
Good Luck
