Southern Saskatchewan | I see you are still deciding! You sound like me. I have not owed a 650 CanAm but can tell you the difference in the ride between a conventional chassis and the new chassis is great. Comfortable ride and puts the power to the ground with the rear trailing arms. I am not the guy that buys the "new" thing the first year out but after riding and looking over the new style I was hooked. No disappointments here. The one upgrade I did was tires. Can Am cheaped out when they made a deal with Carlisle. Although I had no trouble with the OEM tires I went with Maxxis Zillas and love them. The 800 will definately outperform the 650. I had a 650 Brute Force and feel it should be very comparable with the CA powerwise. It was a powerful engine but will not be close to the 8. I look at it this way. I bought a 07 Polaris 600HO RMK because they were a hot machine in 07. Not long after I kicked myself because altitude really robbed that sled of power. Now M8ho and love it (should of got a 800 to start with but I settled for a 6 due to $). Good luck. p.s. Buy the 8. | |
