Well, I don't find it a bad idea at all:
The fields can be harvested with only one operator, no need to put an extra tractor + man on the fields, less compaction, which is important where you don't have strong winters to mellow up. As for the augers, I think that on one of the pictures the grain handling system is no longer an auger...
Maybe, this solution is practical *there* but not *here* where you have enough farmhelps to drive a chasing cart, although this job is quite tougher than driving a combine as I have understood.
As for the price, doing the modifications with existing machines on a built to desire basis is certainly more expensive than if the machine is built from the beginning with an industrial view.
I still find it an excellent idea worth the trial.
