NW Iowa | Yes, you should be able to do that with a 2600. What kind of harness do you have, if its a regular gs harness and not a mobile harness, it should have a two pin weatherpak connector on the harness already to plug an implement switch into. Then just need to change the settings in the 2600 to tell it whether the switch is normally open or normally closed. I had a mobile harness, and my jd ams guy had to add the connector onto my harness to make it work, but it worked great.
I just went to local auto store and bought the weatherpak connectors and wire to make my own cable. Bought an implement switch from Deere that fits on my planter (1760). Ive never been happy with the whisker switches.
