That is kinda what I expected. What I see in most areas of SC PA, is that when guys are farming floodplain soils, those soils are a minor part of the farm operation. In addition, those farmers that are farming floodplain soils are also farming high shale soils. So while the floodplains got flooded, the high shales got a lot of needed moisture. The crop yield increases on those high shales will more than compensate for what crops are lost in the floodplains. (Not true everywhere, but it is true in SC PA.)
