Subject: Let's look at the world numbers again

From here

The charts and stuff simply don't transfer well, so bear with me.

World total grain use increased from 2009 to 2010 by 28MMT.   It increased from 2010 to 2011 by 66MMT.  Let's assume that it increases from 2010 2011 by 40MMT.  Each MMT is about 40 bushels, so, a 40MMT increase in Demand is about 1.6 Billion Bushels.

Since 2009, Ending stocks have decreased by about 24MMT.  If you add this, to the increased demand, you get 64 MMT.  If you assume that the increase for 2012 will equal 2011, you get 90MMT, or about 3.6 billion bushels.

This is why a 14 billion bushel(approximately 2 billion bushel increase in U.S. corn crop, may not burden the market, and, in fact, may not even hold us steady.  We need to produce, the rest of the world needs to produce.  Can we overproduce?  Maybe, but it is going to have to be shown, and it is not the trend in the last 3 years for either grains or oilseeds.
