| cc jersey, could you explain why the Lute doesn't work? Our vet gave us a procedure 10 years ago for cows that didn't clean. Wait a week after freshening, then give 6 cc , 3 days in a row. It sure seems like it helps them dump out. The other thing that has helped save some cows around here, is temping fresh cows for the first 10 days. Also, The advice about giving antibiotics or not by vets may be the difference between dealing with a beef cowthat gets caught and treated on occasion, and a dairy animal that gets fussed with twice a day.
