South Central, Iowa | I've been in conversations with a friend for around six months about developing a local "charity" group that would be the go to location for all in need. It would provide a single location to better serve those in need plus help to eliminate those who take advantage of the giving of multiple churches/ charities.
Last night we got together with a group of about 25 folks from town that have been having similar conversations to get the ball rolling on multiple fronts. It was really exciting to see that there were so many others interested in helping those in need in the same way that I am, and they all bring a different aspect to the table.
I love to farm, and it's a passion of mine, but helping those in need or those less fortunate is probably my biggest passion. Does anyone have anything like this in their area or have any recommendations for us as we start out? | |
