Subject: New Basement questions? Remodel advice vs Modular home?

Saronville NE
We are to the point of not having a choice but to either replace our basement or move in a modular or something. Our walls are caving in on our house and getting to the point of sheet rock cracking upstairs, and some cupboards and doors not opening and closing, so gotta do something. My questions which are alot of em, the estimates we are getting from lifting a house, cleaning out the old basement and putting a new in, is just crazy, let alone, if we do this will add a mud room onto the house and coneect our house and garage togther, take out a wall to make a open staircase to the basement, and finsih the basment cause our house is only 1000 sq feet, and we just plain need more room. This all on a house built in 1900, and last addition put on in 1950. OR couple other options, one is a mid 90s modular house we found for sale to be moved that is 2400 sq feet on top floor and move it and put a basement under it, and do some fixing up light remodel on it, or another bigger ranchstyle house that needs to be moved (from a fellow agtalker) real nice but kinda a unique house cause it is kinda special shaped and takes a more intense basment to put it on vs a regular rectangle which is cheaper. Kinda looks like no matter what we do, it is crazy high and really dont know what option to do. Cant beleive what these basements cost to build. And what remodels cost, I must be really outa touch with reality, cant beleive how fast $80-100k would disappear on any of these projects. What would you do? And what is the best option?
