Yes, Pokey's AF combine is very specialized for his needs, very much improved and modified.

Most everything that wears on those old AF machine bolts on, including the 100's of updated and improved parts.
Change that stuff when it his worn, but before it fails and you will never have a junk combine no matter how many hours. We have cut way back on acres farmed, and I intend to retire along with my 78 model 1480 which is at the mid 17,000 hour range. Very little of it is original, most parts have been replaced multiple times, but it still is a reliable harvest machine.
With our machine gentle crops and lower yields, repairs average only a few hundred $$ per year.
