NC ND | to keep it from pulling to the side the weight of the Hy-grade will not hold it, the proper cut of the blade is what holds it in place. Been using a 16' for a few years and it takes some learning to use it right. I like the rear steer mainly for getting the blade where I want it, alot of times I end up running with the wheels in the air when I am making a cut. Steer also comes in handy when winging out the furrow and you are just moving dirt, not cutting.
Finally found a couple of weak spots in the Hygrade to start welding up, but it has taken alot of abuse behind a quadtrac. Had used a Pullcat a couple of times, the fluid in the 24.5 tires definately holds it in place, but the frame kept braking from too hard of use. To do finish work with a pull blade I found smoothing out works alot better backing up using the back of the blade. The Hygrade really should have a larger lift ram, would help with the grade control as it takes a load. | |
