Subject: Re: Hyd sprayer pump on JD 4430?

Return flow from hydraulic functions is returned back through the transmisson filter then to the front pump. Oil not used by the front pump then flows out the top of pump to the oil cooler and then into lube circuit for transmisson. Basically the same since the 4010's. If this is an early 4430 and the return bypass screw has been backed off to let markers drop on a 7000 planter there is going to be this problem for sure, as the system is running out of oil on the return side. If this tractor has a high pressure leak any where in the system it will also have the same effect. If oil temperature is the problem the radiator and cooler are dirty. Hope this helps.
