| I've got a 1680 with close to 5000 hours and I take it to the dealer yearly and spend between $5000 and $10,000. I put about 300 hours on it yearly. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a chopper and I would keep it forever if it did. The soybean straw today lasts forever unless you put it through a newer chopper. The newer machines seem to have more service calls than the older ones. So many new combines have been sold in the last couple years that if I wait long enough, the huge inventory of used machines on dealer lots will cause them to drop prices. At that point I might have to get rid of the old girl. | |
