Greg, normally, biggest issues are clutch needs to be adjusted properly, shift tower gets wore out, there are two rods going from shift tower to transmission, have seen them bent, they are soft, remove and straighten. Yes and other poster mentioned it could be a roller, not very likely, one thing I have seen quite a few times, pivot tractor hard to the left. On back of transmission, right behind cover appx half way down, may need to wipe off back of tranny, you will see three appx 1/2 rods going into tranny case. Have someone in the cab and shift, these rods should be flush with case and should not move, they are retained by a set screw, it does back out, you could also have a broken shift fork, very common. Would recommend setting clutch first, and check rods for straightness and rods on r/h of tranny are not moving, see if it shifts better, if you have to remove cover, its a lot easier to remove seat, floormat and cover, to bring cover up thru the top, email in profile, give me a contact # worked on lots of these ladies, Scott.
