Northeast Louisiana | I had a 1480, in mint condition. I kept it rebuilt from front to back. It served me well with no breakdowns and it was easy to work on getting it ready in my shop. When I sold it, the guy bought it is a combine mechanic, he was very happy that I sold it to him. He wanted a machine that he could pay cash for and harvest his crops.
I would say it depends on the machine, you can loose a crop working on junk all the time. But if it's in very good shape and well matained, I rather have that than new. Paid for and no electronic grawlix. | |
