Subject: 4450 hyd ?

mora
i have had a 4450 mfwd since '05. i have never touched the pump or stroke control valve on it since i have had it. in the last two yrs i have had to replace two scv's 2 with cracks in them. one an external leak on the outside of the 2nd remote 2 yrs ago, and replaced the 3rd remote housing this spring with an internal crack. it may have already been that way last year half way through the season. the tractor has a little over 8000 hrs on it. it has a loader and the pressure through the remotes is 2700-2800 psi. i thought this was high, but the local deere dealer said the 50 series went to 2550 from the factory and they have turned several up for ones that have a loader or needed to lift something on the three point. they said that pressure was okay. is it just a matter of the tractor getting some wear and tear on it or is there something i need to be looking for? rebuilding and paying for scv parts is getting a little old. thanks in advance.

kevin
