Marengo, Ia. | I broke a bolt where my quick-tach pivots on my boom on my JD 270 skidloader. When the bolt broke, it took a chunk of the welded in cast piece with it. The cast piece hold a tapered pin that the quick-tach pivots on.
Should I reassemble and see if it will still work, or should I have the end cut off and weld a new one on? Local Deere dealer is trying to find the piece, haven't gotten back to me yet.
As you can see in the schematic, the pin(#2) is tapered and so is the boom hole. I'm afraid I lost all my taper in the boom end because of the broken chunk.
Thanks everyone
