4020 didn't have zerks or plugs in the front wheels. Has plugs but no zerks in the rear axles. Like dawn trash whippers, likely the zerks can't stand up to running deep in mud and a well packed bearing is better longer without sand and dirt that would get in with the zerks broken off. My 4020 manual requires the front wheels to be removed and the bearings cleaned and packed if they get submerged, especially in mud. But good wheel bearing grease stands up pretty good.
