If it was used in the context of reading from a piece of literature, that's to be expected in 11th grade English. I remember reading aloud from "A Rumor of War" in class in the 10th grade. And I wouldn't pitch a fit if an English teacher dropped a swear word after spilling coffee in his lap, for example. But if it is offhand, casual swearing then that's another issue.
Should a high school be allowed to say profanity in the class room?
